tony gonzalez-3-831x1024Anthony David Gonzalez, born on the 27th of February, 1976, is an American football tightener who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 17 years. He is thought to be to be one of the most talented tight ends to ever play and currently is the NFL's most successful tight end when it comes to receiving yards and receptions for tight ends. Gonzalez is also ranked third in total receptions. Gonzalez played his first 12 seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, who chose him in the initial round of the 1997 NFL Draft. He was also a member the Atlanta Falcons for five of his last seasons. Gonzalez retired in 2013 and has been a football analyst at NFL on Prime Video. He previously worked with CBS Sports and Fox Sports. Gonzalez also received six first-team All-Pros. A well-known player for his endurance and his infrequent fumbling, Gonzalez appeared in 270 of 272 games during the regular season and lost just two fumbles across 1,327 passes. Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame In the year 2019.
